vscsiStats

As I had mentioned previously a lot of my studying began using a 4.1 lab until I later switched over to a lab that would more closely reflect the VCAP-DCA exam. As I pointed out in some previous posts there are definitely some differences in the way things are done.

Another such thing that recently came to my attention as result of listening to the VMware Communities Roundtable Podcast is that vscsiStats is not installed by default on 4.0. I am not sure if on the lab it will be needed or installed for you, but in case you don’t know here is how you go about installing vscsiStats.

It is a fairly easy process

  1. Put your ESXi server in tech support mode if needed
  2. Download the correct version based on your build, which can be found in Scott’s article.
  3. Install by copying over with SCP.
