Another VCAP-DCA Post
Below you will find a list of all the documents that appear in the VCAP-DCA blueprint and that I would suspect would appear in the Manuals folder on your desktop during the test. I spent a few minutes stripping these out of the document and then tallied each time they appeared and created a sorted list.
The test is a hands on lab and you will need hands on experience to pass, but I also think background knowledge goes along way for me feeling comfortable with some of the sections. Additionally it will be nearly impossible to be an expert at everything the test covers, so knowing where to look some things up may make the difference in passing or failing the test.
My recommendation and what I am seeking to do for my own studying?
- Continue to get as much hands on studying as possible.
- When not possible, read the documentation and focus on those documents that are clearly listed many times over.
- When studying take these documents and have them handy when you have encounter something you don’t know or need to reference in lieu of using Google. From watching the VCAP-DCA test demo I found the lab will look roughly like the below.

If you are looking for a set of documentation and PDF versions of contents relative to the blueprint you can check out Kendrick Coleman’s compilation here.
